Then said Ashqalun, the son of the King of Darkness, to the Miscarried Fetuses: “Bring me your sons and daughters; come, give me some of the Light we have taken; it is I who will make for you a form like what you have seen, which is the first man.” Then they brought it and gave it to him, and, moved by jealousy, Matter made Man out of itself by mixing with the whole of the Power, having also something of the Soul in him. However, the form did much to let Man gain somewhat more of the Divine Power than other mortal living things, for he is an image of the Divine Power.

So Man was fashioned, not by God but by the Ruler of Matter; he consumed the males, and the females, he gave to Nebroel his mate. Then Nebroel and Ashqalun united together, and she conceived from him and bore a son whom she called ‘Adam’; she conceived again, and bore a daughter whom she called ‘Eve’, both giving her some of their lust to seduce Adam.

Затем выброшенные плоды советовались друг с другом; они вспомнили форму Посланника, которую они видели, и спросили: “Где та форма, которую мы видели?”

Тогда Ашкалун, сын царя тьмы, сказал выкидышам: “Принесите мне ваших сыновей и дочерей; придите, дайте мне от света, который мы взяли; и я сделаю для вас форму, похожую на ту, которую вы видели, а это был Первый Человек”. Тогда они взяли ее и дали ее ему, и, движимая ревностью, материя сделала из себя человека, перемешав себя с силой, и поместив в него немного души. Однако эта форма позволяла получить человеку немного больше божественной силы, чем другие смертные живые существа, потому что он - образ божественной силы.

Так был сформирован человек, не Богом, но архонтом материи; он поглотил мужчин и женщин, он дал Неброэли ее партнера. Затем Неброэль и Ашкалун объединились, и она зачала от него и родила сына, которого назвала “Адам”; она зачала опять, и родила дочь, которую назвала “Ева”, дав ей своей похоти, чтобы соблазнить Адама3.

Chapter 10. The Coming of Jesus

Now whereas Adam was created beast-like, Eve was lifeless and motionless; but the male Virgin whom they call Daughter of the Light and name Ioel, gave Eve a share of Life and Light. Next Eve freed Adam from bestiality, then was she thereupon stripped naked of the Light.

So they both asked for the Redeemer, and the Mother of Life and the First Man and the Spirit of Life decided to send to that ‘first child’, one who should free him and save him, show him the Knowledge and the Righteousness, and rescue him from the demons. Being kindly and pitiful, the Good Father sent from the bosom His beloved Son into the heart of the earth and into its lowest parts for the saving of the Soul. Now while coming the Son changed himself into the form of a Man and appeared to men as a man, being no man, and men fancied him to have been born.

Jesus the Radiant approached Adam the Innocent, and awoke him from the sleep of death, so that he might be rescued from the Spirit of Lust; and like a righteous man who meets a man possessed by a mighty demon and quietens him by his art, so too was Adam when that Beloved had found him sunk in the deep sleep. So he woke him, took hold of him, and shook him. Then Jesus spoke to the ‘child’ who was Adam, and made clear to him the Gardens and the Gods, and Hell and the demons, and the earth and the sky, and the Sun and Moon. Then he warned him against Eve, showed him her reproach, and forbade him to touch her; he drove away from him the Seducer, and bound the Great Queen far from him. Thereupon Adam examined himself and realized hence he came; and Jesus showed him the Fathers on high and his own Self in everything, thrown into the teeth of leopards and elephants, swallowed by the greedy and chewed by the gluttonous, eaten by dogs – mixed and imprisoned in all that is, and bound in the stench of Darkness.

Then Jesus raised him and made him taste of the Tree of Life; and thereupon Adam looked and wept, he mightily lifted up his voice like a raging lion, saying: “Woe, woe to the maker of my body, and to the binder of my Soul, and to the Rebels who have enslaved me!”.

Итак, архонты сотворили Адама как зверя, Ева же была безжизненна и неподвижна; но мужская девственница, которую называют “дочь света”, по имени Тоэль, дала Еве часть жизни и света. Далее Ева освободила Адама от зверства, и поэтому она была догола раздетой от света.
